iRed2 issue with IRTrans Ethernet

Postby KSullivan » Sun 4. Oct 2009, 19:28

Maybe I've missed something but I can't get the iRed2 software to learn nor transmit to the IRTrans Ethernet device. I'm sure that I have the IP address accessible as I get a green light blinking from the device.
I also have a IRTrans USB connected and I have no problems. In face when I learn a code from the USB device and I try to TEST out of the Ethernet device, I get green LED from the Ethernet device. So, in other words, it's not learning or transmitting. Maybe I'm doing something really wrong here. I assume that I don't need to download any codes into the Ethernet device's database as I'm using iRed2 which is acting as the server?

Advice is appreciated.

Hi Kyle,
to use iRed the download into the Database is not needed.

The green LED is not saying that the connection is active - it only tells you that the IRTrans device is receiving an IR code.

Please ask the iRed people for help here as we are no big Mac experts. (The Email address is part of your licence key Email).

In case they cannot help you directly please send us an Email so that we can coordinate that.
